My DD was sick last night. Puked all through her bed in the middle of the night. So now I am facing the dilemma of many working parents. When she wakes up do I send her to daycare? As we know kids can easily be up and down when they are sick. She woke at about 6:30am to go to the toilet and has since gone back to bed and fallen asleep. When she wakes up again if she is bright and cheery do I send her? or keep her home just in case? Do I risk making everyone at Daycare sick so I can get some work done?
I am fortunate I work for myself (more than once :)) so I can leave anytime or take her into the office if necessary (which today it will be). I guess like everything in life we will just have to play it by ear.

One Response to “Sick Children and Working Parents”

This is always a hard one. One one hand how lucky are we that we can juggle our work hours in times just like these. On the other hand why is it always us that have to work weird hours because we can do that. I might come home for lunch, can you register the car, do the shopping, mum and dad thought they would pop over because they knew you would be home aghhhhhhh
Very fine line
